As with most Mauritian resorts, The Veranda Baie Resort and Spa offers guests everything they need right on site. Rooms

Rooms at Grand Baie Resort are offered in five different configurations and all are decorated in a minimalist, yet tasteful fashion. Comfort rooms are available to both couples and families, with the latter offering a separate sleeping area for children. Superior rooms come with king-size beds as standard as well as an additional hide-away bed and can accommodate up to 3 people. Privilege rooms offer a separate living area, and privilege suites are offered as individual houses with a separate living area and second bedroom, accommodating up to 4 people.

Dining

Guests will be hard-pressed not to explore the thriving culinary scene of Grand Baie. The village offers the most diverse culinary scene on the island. Whether looking for a quick bite, authentic Mauritian cuisine or fine dining, guests are treated to endless options in the village of Grand Baie. The resort itself also has two restaurants and a bar on site. Mon Plasir is the main restaurant serving up local specialities and signature dishes as both buffet and a la carte options. With an exceptional view over the lagoon, Belle Vue is an unpretentious al fresco restaurant serving up local and seasonal dishes, and Le Tilambic is not only the place to quench your thirst, but the spot to be for live music shows every evening.

Activities

The north of Mauritius is a haven for those looking for marine adventures and is widely considered one of the best spots on the island for scuba diving, snorkelling, ocean floor walks and submarine excursions. This is also the ideal place to set off on boat trips exploring the islands to the north of Mauritius or to go deep-sea fishing. The resort itself offers guests plenty of opportunities to relax at no extra cost with windsurfing, glass-bottom boat rides, kayak, sailing dinghies, darts, tennis courts, table tennis, and use of a fitness room all included in this package. The resort boasts a private stretch of beach as well as two swimming pools for those who prefer to spend their time in a more leisurely fashion.
